Postal Regulatory Commission Announcement Tomorrow!!!

At 11:00am tomorrow September 30, 2010, the Postal Regulatory Commission will be announcing it's decision with regards to the proposed postal increase. A briefing will be held at the Postal Regulatory hearing room located at 901 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 200 in Washington DC.

The Postal Service exigent price increase request was filed on July 6, 2010. The proposed increase is an average of 5.6 percent on Market Dominant products. This will affect First-Class and Standard letters and flats along with periodicals and Standard Packages.

The Postal Service has requested this increase which is above the rate of inflation due to "extraordinary or exceptional" circumstances.

This announcement will have a profound affect on the Postal Industry and the future of mailing in general.
